About DEVCON Philippines Β· Since 2009

The Philippines’ largest volunteer tech community

DevConnect Philippines Inc. (DEVCON) is a non-profit founded in 2009 by Filipino developers who believed technology should not be reserved for the few. Seventeen years later, we are a credible, trusted organization with 13 locations and a community of builders, teachers, and students who pay it forward.

Volunteer-ledWe are not an events company or a tech summit company. Every program is free, volunteer-run, and built for the public good, by event volunteers, chapter officers, and national leaders who are all DEVCON volunteers paying it forward.

What we are

A community, not an events company

Events are how we teach. What we build is the community: people who learn together, then turn around and teach the next person.

We are

  • A registered non-profit and the country’s largest volunteer tech community
  • 13 locations run by local volunteer officers
  • Free programs for kids, students, teachers, and builders
  • Open source, open Playbook, open to anyone

We are not

  • An events company
  • A tech summit company
  • A pay-to-attend conference organizer
  • A network of pins on a map without active local leaders
